Tinicum Conservancy Janurary 2008 - Present

We have been members of the Tinicum Conservancy, our local land preservation organization, for a number of years. In 2004 we placed a conservation easement on 8 acres of our property. It didn’t seem like much but when I read of an 8 acre piece of property slated for 192 units, I knew even an 8 acre easement for conservation was important. We also felt that it was important to set an example in our community. Since then a number of our neighbors have followed suit and now nearly 100 acres of contiguous property is conserved around us, while the Conservancy has preserved over 3000 acres across Tinicum. This January I joined the board of the Conservancy and am currently organizing the “Conservation Spotlight” programs which are an educational series of programs sponsored by the Conservancy.
